Not long ago I was flipping through some home decor magazines and I stumbled across the most beautiful picket fence bed. Right then I knew I had to have it for my daughter's room. Well, I checked prices and needless to say I never bought the bed. Instead I made it (click to see bed). And the rest has become Cottage Classics.
What you will find in this web site are original, hand-made room decor items. One thing you will not find is a $1000 picket fence bed (which is why I never bought the one in the magazine). All of my products are of my own original design, built of solid wood, very sturdy (will withstand children, I have two) and reasonably priced. When I price my products I always make sure each is a price I would pay.
My original picket fence bed story is now SEVEN years old! I can't really believe it has been that long. Thanks to all of my wonderful customers I have been able to continue to build cute things that all little girls and boys should have in their room. With lots of your input I have been able to create the things you wanted to see in your child's bedroom. Many things have changed over the years. We are creating less wood products and more wall decor items, such as bulletin boards. Our bulletin boards have been very popular. They have even been featured on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, TWICE! Check back often to see what we have come up with next.
